Mr. Jerome Carter, MBA, MS
Jerome Carter is a Baltimore native and a distinguished healthcare technologist dedicated to improving clinical outcomes through digital innovation. With over fifteen years of experience, Jerome has established himself as a trailblazer in healthcare product management and health interoperability. His career is defined by a commitment to health equity, most notably as a visionary behind Henry Health (rebranded as Hurdle). He played a key role as the Chief Information Officer driving the platform's mission to bridge mental health access disparities within the African American community, ultimately leading the company through a successful acquisition by a leading health technology firm.
Jerome holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management with a concentration in Healthcare Operations, a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor’s degree from William & Mary.
His leadership extends deeply into community and alumni advocacy. Jerome is a former board member of The Health Alliance for Violence Intervention (HAVI), a founding board member of the Braxton Institute for Sustainability, and has served as President of both the Hulon Willis Association (the William & Mary Black Alumni Association) and the Yale Black Graduate Network. Through these multifaceted roles, he continues to champion the advancement of healthcare and sustainable leadership in underserved and traditionally marginalized communities.
